Who is responsible?

Talifhani Funerals & Tombstones (registration 2020/079883/07) handles the information you provide to us for enquiries and services. Our main office is at Matidza Complex, Office 28, Thohoyandou, Limpopo, South Africa.

Information you provide

The application form asks for your full name, mobile number, preferred plan, town or village and who the cover is for. Your email address and additional message are optional. Required fields help us contact you and understand your request; without them, you can still browse the site or call us directly.

We also receive information you send by phone, email, WhatsApp or in person. Later arrangements may require additional documents or family information. Our team will explain what is needed for that service. Please leave identity numbers, banking details, medical records and children’s personal details out of the initial website form, and only share another person’s information when you have authority to do so.

Why we use information

We use enquiry information to respond, explain plan options, prepare quotations and discuss arrangements you request. Where you proceed, relevant information may also be needed to administer services, maintain required records, address complaints or prevent misuse.

Depending on the purpose, processing may be based on your consent, steps you ask us to take before an agreement, an existing agreement, a legal requirement or a lawful legitimate interest. Contacting us about a service does not give permission for unrelated marketing. You can ask us to stop optional marketing or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

How the application form works

When you select Apply now on the completed form, your browser creates a WhatsApp link containing the details you entered. Opening that link shares its contents with WhatsApp to prepare your message. Talifhani receives the application message when you send it in WhatsApp.

The website has no application database and does not save form entries in its own browser storage. Messages and any later service records are handled separately. WhatsApp is an external service with its own privacy policy. You may contact us by telephone or email instead.

Website services and preferences

Our hosting and security providers may process technical details such as your IP address, requested pages, browser information and security logs to deliver and protect the site. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives the connection information needed to deliver those files.

The current website code does not contain advertising pixels or analytics scripts. Where you select a language, a preference may be stored on your device. Hosting services and external sites may use their own cookies or similar technologies. Browser settings let you manage cookies and local storage.

Links to social platforms, maps and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Those providers may process information outside South Africa under their applicable terms and safeguards.

Sharing, storage and protection

Information may be shared where needed with communication or service providers, the relevant plan provider when you ask to proceed, or authorities where disclosure is legally required. We limit information to the purpose of the arrangement and use appropriate confidentiality and access safeguards.

Records should be kept for the period needed to handle the enquiry or service and any applicable legal or contractual requirements, then securely removed or de-identified when no longer required. Ask us about the retention requirements for your particular record.

We use reasonable safeguards for personal information, although no online channel can remove every risk. If you suspect that information sent to us has been misused, contact us promptly so it can be investigated.

Your privacy choices and rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you may request confirmation of information held about you, access to it, corrections, or deletion where the legal conditions are met. You may also object to qualifying processing or withdraw consent for future processing that depends on consent.
