The website is for information and enquiries
A form, WhatsApp message or call does not by itself create a booking, policy or contract. We confirm accepted work in writing.
These terms explain how website enquiries, funeral arrangements, memorial orders and plan information are handled. They are written to protect families without taking away any right given by South African law.
A form, WhatsApp message or call does not by itself create a booking, policy or contract. We confirm accepted work in writing.
Price, items included, dates, payment stages and any special conditions must appear in the quotation or order confirmation you accept.
Monthly plan cards on this site are summaries only. Never rely on them instead of the insurer or provider's disclosure and binding policy or membership terms.
Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under consumer, privacy or financial-sector law.
The website does not currently identify a licensed insurer, underwriting insurer, financial services provider number, premium collection mandate or complete policy wording. Talifhani does not represent on this page that any advertised monthly plan is an insurance policy. If a plan is insurance, the insurer's policy and mandatory disclosures apply. If it is a non-insurance service or membership plan, the signed plan agreement applies. Ask for and read those documents before paying.
“Talifhani”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Talifhani Funerals & Tombstones, registration number 2020/079883/07. Our main office is at Matidza Complex, Office 28, Thohoyandou, Limpopo, South Africa. This is also the address at which we accept formal notices unless we give you a different address in writing.
“You” means the person using the website, requesting a quote, placing an order, or entering an agreement with us. If you act for a family, estate or another person, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
These terms apply to this website and, where incorporated into an accepted quotation or order, to funeral-related services, coffins and caskets, transport, funeral set-up, printing, recording, tombstones, memorials, restoration and related work supplied by us.
Your contract is formed only when we accept your signed or recorded instruction, confirm the order, and agree any required deposit or payment arrangement. If documents conflict, the following order applies: mandatory law; any insurer-issued policy for an insurance product; a signed service schedule or order confirmation; the accepted quotation; these terms; then website or promotional material.
Headings and summaries help readability but do not replace the full clauses. Any term found unlawful or unenforceable is limited or removed only to the extent required, and the remainder continues to apply.
Website information and photographs are general. Sending a form, email or WhatsApp message is a request for contact—not an accepted booking, guaranteed response time, confirmed availability or insurance application. Please call us for an urgent death or time-sensitive funeral arrangement.
Product colours, natural stone patterning, flowers, décor and finishes may look different on a screen or vary naturally. We will identify material substitutions before supply where reasonably possible. A substitute must be reasonably suitable and of comparable quality unless you agree otherwise.
Dates and times are confirmed only in writing and may depend on documents, payment, venue or cemetery access, permits, weather, supplier availability and third-party approvals.
A quotation should state what is included, what is excluded, its validity period, the total price or method of calculation, payment stages and anticipated delivery or service date. Unless a quote says otherwise, extras requested later are charged separately after your approval.
The accepted service schedule must record the funeral date, locations, vehicles, coffin or casket, equipment, printed items, décor, catering or grocery items (if any), recording, and other agreed deliverables. We may use vetted third parties, but this does not remove any responsibility we have under applicable law.
You must provide accurate names, dates, identity and relationship documents, next-of-kin or estate authority, venue details and other information reasonably needed to carry out the service. You are responsible for checking spelling, photographs, dates and programme content before approving printing or engraving.
Repatriation and the movement of human remains depend on legal, health, transport and border requirements. We will explain documents and third-party charges known at quotation stage. We cannot promise a completion time controlled by an authority or carrier, but will keep you reasonably informed.
Recording or live streaming depends on venue permission, connectivity, electricity and lawful consent. No stream can be guaranteed to be uninterrupted. Ownership, delivery format, retention period and permitted use of recordings must be agreed in the service schedule.
Before manufacture, you must approve the design, wording, spelling, dimensions, material, finish and price in writing. Approval authorises production. Changes after approval may affect price and timing, and may be impossible once cutting, printing or engraving has begun.
You are responsible for obtaining the cemetery, landowner or authority's permission unless the quotation expressly makes us responsible. Installation dates depend on site access, ground conditions, weather, grave settlement and the applicable cemetery's rules. Hidden ground conditions or inaccurate measurements supplied by others may require a revised quotation, which we will submit for approval before additional work.
Stone is a natural material and may have variations in shade, grain and pattern. These are not defects if the material remains of the type and quality agreed. Our work will be performed and goods supplied with the quality and care required by law. Please report visible damage promptly and preserve photographs and proof of purchase so we can inspect and offer an appropriate remedy.
Ask us in writing to change or cancel an order as soon as possible. We will confirm the effect on price, timing and any refund. Any cancellation charge must be reasonable in the circumstances and may take account of work already done, non-recoverable third-party costs, specially ordered materials and the likelihood of finding another customer for reserved capacity.
Personalised or made-to-order items may not be returnable merely because you changed your mind, where the law permits, but this does not affect your rights if goods are defective, unsafe, incorrectly supplied or do not match the agreement.
If an agreement resulted from direct marketing and section 16 of the Consumer Protection Act applies, you may cancel without reason or penalty by written or other recorded notice within five business days after the later of the agreement date or delivery of the goods. If an online transaction is actually concluded, additional cooling-off rights under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act may apply, subject to that Act's exclusions, including exclusions relating to financial services, services begun with consent and personalised goods. We will honour any right that applies to your transaction.
Where section 14 of the Consumer Protection Act applies to a fixed-term consumer agreement, you may cancel early on 20 business days' written or other recorded notice, subject only to a reasonable cancellation charge permitted by law. Insurance cancellation and cooling-off rights are governed by the policy and applicable financial-sector law.
If an event outside reasonable control prevents performance—including severe weather, civil disturbance, authority restrictions, venue closure, transport disruption or supplier failure—we will notify you, take reasonable steps to reduce the impact, and discuss rescheduling, substitution or a lawful refund. This clause does not excuse payment obligations already due or remove non-excludable consumer rights.
Prices and benefits shown on the website are promotional summaries and may change. They are not a complete policy, plan agreement, claim promise or guarantee of eligibility. A plan does not start through a website enquiry.
Before joining or paying, you must receive a written document that clearly identifies:
If the arrangement is an insurance policy, the licensed insurer decides and pays a valid claim in accordance with the policy. The policy wording and statutory disclosures prevail over this website. No representative may promise a benefit or waive a policy term unless authorised and confirmed in writing. If the arrangement is not insurance, the signed plan agreement must explain exactly when and how its service benefits are supplied.
Keep every receipt and check your statement. Tell the provider promptly of changes to members, beneficiaries, contact or payment details. A claim must be submitted with the documents listed in the applicable policy or plan; we will not add claim requirements that conflict with that binding document or the law.
We process contact details and enquiry information to respond, prepare quotes, arrange services, administer orders, keep legally required records, prevent fraud and handle complaints. Funeral arrangements may involve identity, relationship, health or death information about other people. Only give us information you are authorised to share.
We must use reasonable safeguards and limit access to people and service providers who need the information. We retain it only as long as reasonably needed or legally required. You may ask for access, correction or deletion where the Protection of Personal Information Act allows by emailing talifhanifuneral@gmail.com.
An enquiry permits us to respond about that enquiry; it is not blanket consent to unrelated marketing. Where consent is required for electronic direct marketing, we will seek it and provide a reasonable way to opt out. Essential service messages are not marketing.
You must give complete and accurate instructions, obtain authority from relevant family or estate representatives, review proofs, secure access we did not agree to secure, and make agreed payments. Tell us immediately if information changes.
We are responsible for loss or harm to the extent caused by our breach, negligence or other legal responsibility. We are not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate information or unauthorised instructions you supplied, or by a third party or external event outside our reasonable control, except to the extent the law makes us responsible.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by unlawful conduct, defective or unsafe goods where liability cannot be excluded, or any warranty, remedy or other right that South African law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
Website content may be updated and is provided for general information. We take reasonable care but do not promise that the site will always be available, error-free or suitable as a substitute for a signed quotation, policy or professional advice. Talifhani names, branding, copy and media may not be commercially reused without permission, subject to lawful fair use.
Please first send your complaint to talifhanifuneral@gmail.com or deliver it to Matidza Complex, Office 28, Thohoyandou. Include your name, contact details, order or plan reference, what happened, relevant dates, supporting documents and the outcome you seek. We will acknowledge it, investigate fairly and give you a written response within a reasonable time.
If it is not resolved, the correct external body depends on the issue:
These options do not prevent either party from using a court or any other remedy available by law.
We may update the website terms prospectively by posting a new dated version. A change does not rewrite an already accepted order or policy unless the applicable agreement and law allow it and any required notice is given.
Notices may be delivered by hand, email, WhatsApp or another recorded method to the contact details most recently supplied, subject to any mandatory delivery rule. A message is not treated as received merely because it was sent if the law or an agreement requires acknowledgement.
South African law governs these terms. South African courts with jurisdiction may hear a dispute. No delay in enforcing a right waives it. You may not transfer your agreement without written consent where the nature of the service depends on your identity or instructions; we may not transfer it in a way that unlawfully reduces your rights.
This page was prepared with reference to the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, and the financial-sector rules that may apply if a funeral plan is insurance. Legislation and the signed documents for a specific transaction always take precedence.
